School Pictures   On Wednesday September 8th we will be having our school pictures taken by Lifetouch, at the same time we will be taking the pictures for our school directory. Everybody needs to fill out the order form, even if you won't be purchasing pictures. Every student gets a class and an individual picture for free. If ordering, do not forget to include your check along with the order form. Make them look their best!
Fifth - Eighth Grade Vespers   All 5th-8th grade students along with their parents and/or relatives are invited to join us for vespers and potluck on Saturday September 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Weko Beach. Bring your blankets, chairs and one or two dishes to share with others. The devotional message will be brought to us by Duane Covrig.
8th vs Staff Football   Come and cheer for the staff on Thursday September 23rd from 6:20 to 8:20 PM during our annual 8th vs. Staff football game (Staff has lost the game the last 2 years). Eight graders will be selling snacks and juices for those attending the event. See you there!
Italian Dinner   You are invited to have a great dining experience by attending our annual "Italian Dinner" fundraiser on Sunday September 26th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. For tickets, just call the school's office at 473.5121 ext. 10 or fill out the form that will be sent with you child in the Thursday folder.

We Are HIS Hands

On Thursday, August 26, I presented a worship thought for our VAES students centered around our new spiritual theme for the 2010-2011 school year, “We Are His Hands”. I shared with our student body the story of the feeding of the five thousand, and how Jesus used the hands of many to deliver what appeared to be a little food, to many hungry people.

I challenged our students to be the hands of Jesus this school year! Sometimes it is the smallest gift that turns out to be the biggest blessing!

As I shook the hands of 184 students that day, I was thinking of the possibilities in each hand! What an awesome thought. The staff will be brainstorming ways to put “We Are His Hands” into action. If you have any ideas, please be sure to share them with me.

I am looking forward to a great year serving Jesus with my hands!.

Welcome to Village Adventist 
Elementary and Middle School.

We are a K-8 school operated by the Michigan Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. We offer a comprehensive curriculum in a Christ centered environment for our students. At Village School we are blessed to have:

  • A strong Home & School association.
  • Wonderful parent volunteers who spend numerous hours doing various projects, helping out in classrooms, lunch and in the office.
  • An Extend Ed. program five days a week.
  • A comprehensive music program - band, choir, strings/orchestra.
  • A Reading Specialist and a full-time Technology Director.
  • A vegetarian hot lunch every day.
  • A staff with a combined 100+ years of experience in education.
  • A computer lab with 28 terminals powered by Linux and content-filtered Internet connections throughout the school.
