Alive and Well
BYKOTA is still alive and well at the Village School as we are well into our second semester. Check out this new bulletin board in the main hallway that is promoting BYKOTA acts. The names of students (grades PK-4) who have been caught being kind are added daily to this board. Students can be nominated by their teacher, VAES staff members, and fellow students. Check it out, and students, remember to share with your teacher BYKOTA acts you witness! Thanks Mrs. Wineland-Pherson for getting this bulletin board up and running!
We also have two new banners in the gymnasium that promote our We Are His Hands theme, as well as BYKOTA. If you haven't seen them yet, you will have opportunity to see them during Winter Fest on Feb. 4! Thanks to Mrs. Kurtz for this great idea and ordering the banners. We also want to thank Rich Baldwin and Lloyd Condon for hanging the banners!

Welcome to VAES

Why Village Adventist
Elementary and Middle School?
We are a K-8 school operated by the Michigan Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. We offer a comprehensive curriculum in a Christ centered environment for our students. At Village School we are blessed to have:
2010-2011 theme: We Are His Hands
We have a high retention rate among our families because we are closely connected by a tradition of community and roots. The environment and culture of the school is one of long term relationships built on trust and caring staff, bringing parents and teachers together to meet common goals
Service projects for local and global missions are offered several times a year
VAES has the only Adventist academic pre-school program in the Berrien Springs area. Pre-school students are engaged in hands on learning opportunities in a loving environment with two teachers in the classroom, giving a 1:10 student-teacher ratio
